MBBS, MA. Licensed Mental Health Counselor in WA State.

My passion is to help you identify and remove the root cause of psychological suffering by getting a clearer understanding of how the mind works. I do this by using a combination of mindfulness based approaches and a process called Inquiry. Before I became a psychotherapist, I worked as a physician for almost a decade, in England and India. Therefore, I have a deep and abiding interest in how physical illnesses and bodily symptoms impact one’s sense of well-being. For the past 18 years (the last 12 years as director of mental health clinic), I worked as a psychotherapist at Hall Health Center at the University of Washington. Currently I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Washington, Seattle. Having worked with students, staff and faculty at the University, I also have a keen interest in how psychological stress impacts your academic and work performance.
